    Killing A Trojan Horse

Apparently I've gotten a Trojan Horse on my computer, and I've tried different things (AVG, Trojan Remover, and Spy Sweeper) and none of it has worked.

    The name given is..

    iworm_attck_v122.02a

I was wonder if there was a sure fired way of getting this off my computer.

    Thanks for any help.

Thrasha and I have had the same problems. I think I best fixed it by not allowing so many programs and services to operate on Startup. I don't know if it will help you, though.

Otherwise, I tried using Ewido Anti-Spyware, and I think it cleaned up well. You can try that I guess.

        download hijackthis

It'll ask you to save a log file. Do it.

Copy paste said log file on this site

yep hijackthis is good.. they might recommend you use a program like killbox. it can create a dummy file and delete the fact exe. or delete on reboot etc.. so if you know the location, id do that

            Re: Killing A Trojan Horse

The forums on this site are really good. I'd look through there and see if anyone has/had the same problem as you.

If this does not resolve a thing, I'd suggest making your own topic. I had a trojan back in April, made a thread and had an answer within twelve hours. I don't know if they would be that quick but it's worth a shot.

If you know what you're doing in HiJack This, the website's help may not be necessary but you'll most likely need a HiJack This log.
