But my favorite of all time is a man who is both gifted and cursed, a man who fights crime both in his tights as a superhero, and as a mere mortal. He doesnt fly around in space and fight aliens. Rather, he is a street level vigilante hero who tries to make a difference where he can.

Daredevil... "The Man Without Fear" is far and away my favorite because he is a relateable character. A guy trying to do the right thing where he can, even if it's not always easy.

My vote has to be for Batman. The whole "wonderful toys" and technology covering for his absolute lack of super powers is the big draw for me. No x-ray vision and super strength here!

Spider-man (the regular guy with guilt thing)

Incredible Hulk (everyone has strong emotions and anger...just not resulting in a giant green bad ***)

Gambit (the suave French ladies man with the kinetic energy powers...oh yeah)

Mainly because I like the whole angst of avenging his parents death without going totally psycho or against the law like the Punisher. Actually my fave era of Batman is his crazy sci-fi and camp era from the '50s and '60s.

Batman followed by Jim Gordon, specifically Year One Jim Gordon. I thought Jim Gordon was a perfect foil character to Batman.

Although I don't have any comics, the following characters intrigue me: The Punisher and Superman. I really need to pick up the Garth Ennis Punisher series.

I really don't have a favorite. As a kid I loved Iceman and Venom. I find villains like Magneto, Dr. Doom and Two-Face very interesting. And my current favorite book is probably Astonishing X-Men which has a great corps of Cyclops, White Queen, Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, and Colossus.

I will say this the main comic we had in the crib was Fantastic four... I think Dr. Doom was my favorite villian... there was no hero that could stop him, he always managed to get away...!!!! Dr. Doom even had his own comic series for a while, he was so popular as a super villian...!!! this dude held his own in epic battles against the likes of "Thor", "Hulk" and "submariner".... that's just how bad azz this dude really is.... the 2005 "FF" movie did in no way capture just how nasty (powerful) Dr. Doom really is...



PS... he also took control of Galactus' ship....

Punisher was by far my favortie, but I liked reading Spiderman, too.
