I'm not buying into the hype and I'm sure I'll catch some major flak for this but Snakes on a Plane just looks stupid to me. I won't even give it a courtesy rental when it comes out on video.

          There. I said it.

The Departed does look pretty good though.

Not Anchorman stupid.......stupid, stupid. Not "funny stupid" or "corny stupid" enough for me to spend $10 on to watch and then have to sit through.

The Prestige and The Departed look awesome from their IMDB sites, but I haven't watched the trailers yet.

I'll also go see Casino Royale.

Don't know about anything else, though.

The Departed looks pretty slick...plus it takes place in Boston so I'll check it out regardless.

Through the end of the year, these are the ones I want to see. No way I will be able to see them all in the theater, but I would like to. I hope to see most of them though:

World Trade Center: Port Authority police officers John McLoughlin (Cage) and William Jimeno (Peña) become trapped under the rubble of the World Trade Center after the September 11 attack.

The Illusionist: A magician (Norton) in turn-of-the-century Europe uses his skills to win back a long lost love (Biel), who is now engaged to the crown prince of Austria.

Trust the Man: After all the drama, cheating, and trial separations, two men (Crudup, Duchovny) fight to save their respective relationships.

10th & Wolf: A former street tough (Marsden) returns home to Philadelphia after a stint in the military. Soon, he reconnects with his former mob associates in order to get his brother out of a prison sentence.

Invincible: Philadelphia Eagles fan Vince Papali (Wahlberg) takes advantage of an open tryout for the team, only to see his wildest dream come true.

Crank: A hit man (Statham) goes on an adrenalized 24-hour rampage after discovering that he's been poisoned and his girlfriend (Smart) is in a world of trouble.

Hollywoodland: A private detective (Brody) investigating the mysterious death of George Reeves (Affleck), follows the ever-turning case as it points to an affair the "Superman" star had with the wife (Lane) of a studio exec (Hoskins).

The Guardian: Rescue swimmer Ben Randall (Costner), in mourning over the loss of his crew, dedicates himself to teaching, and soon finds a young man who needs mentoring, cocky swim champ Jake Fischer (Kutcher). Seeing his protégé through graduation, the two men head to work in Alaska, where Ben learns the true meaning of heroism and sacrifice during his first solo rescue in the Bering Sea.

Fearless: Huo Yuanjia (Li) overcomes personal and physical setbacks to become the most famous Chinese fighter at the turn of the 20th century.

All the King's Men: Journalist Jack Burden (Law) falls under the spell of politically entrenched Southern populist Willie Stark (Penn). Based on Robert Penn Warren's novel on the life of Louisiana Governor Huey Long.

School for Scoundrels: An unlucky meter reader (Heder) enrolls in confidence-building class with his sights set on winning over the girl of his dreams (Barrett). It's a dream that becomes complicated when his instructor (Thornton) gets the same idea.

The Departed: Two men (DiCaprio and Damon) from opposite sides of the law are undercover within the Boston State Police department and the Irish mafia, and as discoveries are made on both sides that compromise their positions, the moles are dispatched to find out their enemy's identities.

Flags of Our Fathers: The life stories of the six men who raised the flag at The Battle of Iwo Jima during WWII.

Killshot: A botched scam sends an old school hit man (Rourke) and a young stick-up kid (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) on a mission to find and kill an innocent couple (Jane and Lane) in order to protect their identities.

The Prestige: In turn-of-the-century London, the two magicians (Bale and Jackman) become rivals after they're exposed in a fraudulent séance. Bent on destroying one another's lives and careers leads to terrible consequences for both men.

Fast Food Nation: A marketing executive (Kinnear) for a fast food giant travels to the Colorado town that's home to feedlots and packing plant that fuels his business. His goal: to quietly investigate whether cow manure has found its way into his product.

We Are Marshall: When a plane crash claims the lives of the Marshall University football team athletes and some of its fans, the team's new coach (McConaughey), his surviving players, and the school's dean (Strathairn) try to keep the program alive.

Deck the Halls: Two neighbors (Broderick and DeVito) have it out after one of them decorates his house for the holidays so brightly that it can be seen from space.

Rocky Balboa: After considering a low-profile return to the ring, Rocky Balboa (Stallone) is granted a shot at the title held by heavyweight champ Mason "The Line" Dixon (Tarver).

Night at the Museum: A dim-witted guy (Stiller) gains employment at the Museum of Natural History as the nighttime security guard. Tipped off by a pair of day shift old-timers (Dick Van ****, Mickey Rooney), his first night on the job is full of danger and surprises, as the humans and other animals on display come to life, looking for trouble.

The Good Shepherd: The history and evolution of the CIA, seen through the eyes of James Wilson (Damon), one of its founding officers, and the toll his spy games took on his home life.

                    - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

Well, I guess we all know that one won't have a happy ending. Talk about a tough one to sit through.
