Depends on the dorm. If you are in a normal dorm that is like a jail cell and you are sharing it with someone you pretty much have to stay under 25 inches unless you go flat screen which isn't cheap at all. If you are in a dorm with a separate living room area, you can get whatever your budget affords. I bought a $100 19 inch and it worked fine for 3 or 4 years, it was some generic brand. If you aren't a stickler for video quality, something like that will work, maybe a little bigger if you want.
Lexmark makes cheap printers that are relatively small and the ink refills are very cheap. Not the best quality, but defintely good enough for most peoples needs.
my dorm at UNC last year was tiny, i can't wait for this year, im moving into a brand new dorm and its apartment style, 4 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, its gonna be great
I'd save my money and just print in computer labs... Save space too
Well, if his school is anything like mine, buying a printer far outweighs having to fight for lab space and paying the per-page charge everytime you need to print something.
This isnt relevant to the discussion but I still don't understand how people can dorm and share bathrooms with people you barely (or not at all) even know.

That's true for my college too.

Shower sandals.
Giggas, make a trip to Wal-Mart and pick up the cheapest 19-23 inch TV they have and get a Lexmark printer, you should be out of there for under $150 for both.

That sucks.
The computer lab at my dorm two years ago was amazing. Really cheap to print, and there was always about 30 open computers everytime I went down there.
You might consider getting a TV tuner for your computer; you'll save a ton of space that way. I put one in my desktop (you can get em for laptops too, though) and it worked out nicely, except that I had to finagle with it a bit to make it run video game consoles without any lag in the picture.

you know your roommates?
just hope those bastards dont have any hungry fat friends who hang around your place. they ate all my brocoli cheese chicken wrap things within hours. i had to break some necks.
i had a 24 inch and it actually took me away from my room. everyone and their mom wanted to watch tv in there because it was the biggest and best.
its all up to you. id go with 13 inch right by the bed and do gaming some place else
Have you seen the room? Regular dorm room sizes vary from place to place. For example, Penn St's dorm rooms are about half the size of Auburn's You can always try and set up your cable through your computer.
