TSN Sportscenter question...
For Canadians, what happened to that sportscaster who was on SC a few years ago. I know his last name was Price, but forget his first name. I always though he was the best on there along with Dutch and Hedger.

Blake. Yeah that's it. I kept thinking Brent Price.
Anyone know where he is?Comment

Re: TSN Sportscenter question...
Blake Price use to work for Mojo Radio here but the station no longer went with a 24HR sports format.
I think he still works part-time for the CTV affliate here but I'm not %100 sure.
I think it's a joke TSN is just in the process of upgrading their main studio and going HD. Sportsnet News went HD a few years ago.
While we are on TSN anchors, David Amber works for ESPN now.
I wonder what happened to John Wells and Teresa Cruze.
Jennifer Hedger needs to get the boot.Comment

Re: TSN Sportscenter question...
It's strange- TSN used to be the pinnacle of sports news for me. Now, I would never even think of watching SportsDesk- Would rather turn on the Score or Sportsnet (generally don't like them but unlike TSN, they show a lot more baseball, basketball, etc...).Comment

I did a spit take last summer when I saw David Amber on ESPNEWS. I hope he goes on the fast track to success and lands on the main network.Originally posted by asianflowWhile we are on TSN anchors, David Amber works for ESPN now.

.
John Wells was very long in the tooth. He did some of the west coast CFL games last year. I'm thinking he probably retired. Teresa Kruze retired shortly after getting married. I think she hung around for a year or two after getting married but eventually hung it up.
EDIT: so vince you got yourself an illegal signal to get ESPN and stuff now I see. (I surmise this by you posting about watching the Team USA B-ball games and ESPN)Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Why do I feel like I'm in kindergarten when Jay Onrait is recapping games? He's brutal and so is Jennifer Hedger.Comment

You know Canada is in tough times when it comes to sportscasters when Mike Toth is the best guy we got.
(actually he's damn good but he's not as good as he was when he and Jamie Campbell were teamed up)Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Maybe Campbell will realize this and leave the Jays booth forever....Originally posted by SPTOYou know Canada is in tough times when it comes to sportscasters when Mike Toth is the best guy we got.

btw-sort of off topic but did anyone see the NBC website for Sunday Night Football and how much it was promoting its talent? It was like they were the biggest group of rockstars out there. Does Canada a group of sports reporters/broadcasters that would be able to be promoted like that?Comment

Re: TSN Sportscenter question...
I still remember watching Jennifer Hedger when she was on the show called The Lofters.
Every week they would have an episode dedicated to sex and she would talk about dildos and other things. Now she's at TSN, I'm sure she wishes the tapes would vanish.
I'm sure other aspiring broadcasters are upset she got hired. She was good on OTR but her education wasn't in broadcasting. She was mainly hired on looks (same goes for Hazel Mae).
I hate the ticker on The Score, but they do the most features and have guests in studio. TSN and Sportsnet's format is too strict.
The Score needs to lock up Cabbie to a long term contract.
Over a month ago there was major behind the scene changes at Sportsnet. Some of the execs were fired or demoted. The new guy in charge said Sportsnet was no longer edgy and different from TSN. They vow to go back to their roots.Comment

Don Cherry, Bob McKenzie, Ron McClean, and this might be a stretch but really isn't because it's the most listened to sports radio show in Canada, Bob mcCown.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I really like the ticker. On a big tv, it doesn't really take up too much space. I also love the fact that they are in widescreen 24/7.Originally posted by asianflowI hate the ticker on The Score, but they do the most features and have guests in studio. Oh yeah, forgot about Cabbie. He's easily one of the freshest faces out there and he really is very charismatic. I'd love to see him try some desk work to see if that can translate to doing the highlights.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
