I'd be curious who the seller is and how he acquired the ring.

Yeah I wonder how they got that? Its from a legit seller too so you know you aren't getting some rip off. Is there any way they could just have one made? The price would be through the roof but I imagine if you have connections or the money to have one made you could.

As far as I remember they were giving those things away like they were free two years ago. Practically everyone involved w. the Red Sox one way or another got one. It's prolly some low-end front office schmuck who makes $40k a year and wants to get some loot for his ring.

...which is exactly what I would do. F a damn ring, give me the $150k if I can get it.

Absolutely. Use whatever you make on the ring for a down payment on a house.

I dunno, something like that can and SHOULD have huge sentimental value. I wouldn't sell it if it were me.

If I had that kinda dough i'd definitely buy it tho!

This particular ring was given to an employee of the front office and comes with the elegant display box that is beautifully designed to house the ring.

From what I have seen in my own personal experiences, that is usually what most teams do. That being said, the players, front office, owners, and lower tier employees do not receive the same style ring. I have seen two different examples of the Braves 1995 World Series ring (one player ring, one front office ring), and a 2002 Diamondbacks ring that was made for someone that wasn't even associated with the club (a business partner, I believe).

Yep, good long term investment. Value will sky rocket down the road.
