It’s always a bad sign when a sequel of a sequel doesn’t have any actors from the previous 2 films.
The film contained a no name cast. All the male characters have as much charisma as John Olerud. While the lead character was pretty (Brooke Nevin), she’s not even in the same class as Jennifer Love Hewitt.
A prank goes wrong at the beginning of the film and the 4 friends make a pact to keep it a secret until they die. A year later we find that the friends are no longer close but a crazy person with a hook knows their secret.
The main characters briefly talked about what happened in the previous 2 movies. The fisherman had super powers in this film. He took 2 gun shots to the chest and he kept on walking.
The first 70 minutes of the film was pretty boring while the final 20 minutes was decent.
The ending was very unsatisfying. With these types of films, one of the things you look forward to is finding out who the killer is and with this film……. I won’t get into it here.
And just like almost every other horror movie, the director decided he should leave open the possibility for a I’ll Still Always Know What You Did Last Summer.
