Question about Boy Meets World

Ok so I'm watching Boy Meets World today (great show) and I swear there has to be a lapse in the writing... Right after Tapanga moves away Cory is complaining that they've been dating for 16 years since they were 8 months old in the sandbox... now correct me if I'm wrong, but during the first couple of seasons didn't they hate each other? I swear they did, and I don't think there was any way they were dating during that time... am I making this all up or have I just forgotten my BMW history?

Oh God, I hate myself for knowing this, but yeah, they hated each other for the first season or whatever, but it was that "love hate" type thing, Corey was in love with her the whole time.

k just checking... I guess when the first season was on, I was so young I couldn't tell the difference with the whole "love hate" thing.

That had to be when it jumped the shark. I loved that show, too bad for ABC the Savages stopped having children who could act, their kids carried that network for years.

In the clip-filled finale, Cory wrestles with his fear of moving to New York for Topanga's internship, triggering—in flashbacks—a host of memories. When he finally opts to take Manhattan, it turns out that Shawn, Jack and Eric have all made big moving plans of their own. But before anyone leaves town, the crew makes one last stop: Mr. Feeny's classroom. There, they bid an emotional farewell to their mentor, who offers them one last bit of advice before they go out and meet the world. They tell Mr. Feeny they love him and they will miss him dearly. Mr. Feeny replies an "I love you" but they have already gone.

Dude that last epsiode was freaking emotional...

they all have their huge pig-pile/group hug thing in the classroom....after having visions about what their future would be like if they all split up and everything.
