Subwoofer next to Xbox 360

I'm just wondering if I put my subwoofer next to my 360, will it mess it up in anyway.

mine is kinda near it, my 360 is on a small table to give it circulatoin so the audio waves wont reach it as much, but no problems

I'm not sure what audio waves have to do with the 360......they have no effect on it whatsoever.

Regarding the subwoofer, it should be fine. I have a 12" sub about 3-4 feet from my 360 and it's fine. The way I see it, if the 360 is visibly vibrating from the sub, it's bad. If not, it's fine.

Vibration could honestly get the 360 to skip if it's too high and possibly scratch your cd.

True. I'd think there would be visible vibration from the 360 if that were the case.

I wouldnt worry too much. Mine is right in front of my sub and there are no problems.

I thought subwoofers generated magnetic waves that could damage video game consoles? At least that's what I was told, I could be completely wrong. I kept my PS2 and XBOX away from my subwoofer back home.

I don't know if that's true or not (I don't think it is), but even if so, the subwoofer should have magnetic shielding to protect other electronic equipment.

It's the same as speakers. If you buy a poor set of speakers and set them next to a CRT based TV or monitor, over time you'll see a discoloration on the TV/Monitor where the speaker was. It happened to one of my computer monitors when I was in high school.
