what could be the problem? i cleared the disk what else to do?

You could try defragging the hard drive. It's under the system tools in the start menu.

Well i just downloaded firefox(using it now) and it's fine but on my other tab(internet explorer) it's going slow....

What are your specs and how much HD space is left? If you're supposed to have a fairly fast cpu, try the Optimizer program over at www.pcpitstop.com . They also have some good diagnostics over there.

Possibly spyware/adware.

Download Spybot, Ad-Aware or Microsoft Defender and see if any of those programs find anything.

What do you mean "it's going slow"?

At first it sounded like your computer was running slow - then you said you downloaded firefox and it's fine...

What's running slow? You need more details than that.
