    Ipod Help

I have a Ipod nano, i got it in december and it was working fine. Now one day the battery ran and i charged it, and it brought me to the screen to choose the language, I didnt think much of it untill i went to listen to it and all my songs were gone. I had it full so I was a little mad, so i put them all on again to itunes, but itunes doesnt recognize my ipod anymore.

    Anyone have any suggestions.

Try apple.com , They seem to have the tools to reformat it or something.

My bad I meant a wmp file from a mp3 player to a ipod. How can I change a .wmp and make it readable and transferable so my ipod can reconize the file?

iTunes and iPods don't recognize WMA files. However, when you import a WMA format file into iTunes, it automatically prompts you to convert the file to AAC or MP3. Once you've converted it, you transfer it like any other file.

Is this the case for the video files too because I can't figure out how to change the file to a mpeg4 file.

Honestly, I don't know. I just tried adding a WMV file to my library and wasn't prompted in any way, nor did the video show up in my library afterwards. Which is weird, because I thought at one point, when you added a video file, iTunes prompted you to convert it to being iPod compatible. Maybe not anymore?

Sometimes a file shows, sometimes it doesn't. It's a crapshoot seeing what can or can't be added. I don't know why, but I never remember it being anyother way.

Is there any way to get songs off ur ipod to the itunes library without syncing (meaning without erasing all the songs off my ipod first). A message keeps asking me to sync and that will erase everything
