    PS2 / Memory Card / Metal Dectector?

I'm thinking of taking my PS2 on an airplane...

Will the metal detector mess it or the memory card up?

    Thanks...

Wouldn't it be simpler just to take a PSP with you?

Unless you don't have one then n/m but still...Kinda drastic to take your home console on a trip.

Just put your memory card in your luggage. It should be fine as I'm pretty sure there are tons of people out there that travel with their video games. I know my brother has, and no problems as of yet. I think the only way it would mess it up is if you would actually swipe the memory card right on the magnet. like credit cards and those demagnatizers at Best Buy and such.

I'm interested in this topic as well, I'm planning on leaving both the ps2 and the mem card in my carry on, which means it will go through the x-ray thing but not the metal detector that I personally will be going through.

        Thoughts?

I've taken it on a airplane many, many, many times, i've never had any problems. I always carry on the ps2, but i've had the memory cards and games both in luggage and carry on. I've never once had a problem.

Think about it, people carry on Laptops every day. Their hard drives dont get erased why would a memory card be any different.
