Yes it is Blax, but not much love for the show at OS. "Dexter" keeps getting better ever week, and shows how great writing can make a serial killer into a good, though sometimes chilling (the scene when he tells his soon to be dead shrink that he's a serial killer was just plain scary) guy. This, along with "The Office" are head and shoulders above anything else I'm currently watching on TV.

Yeah, it was. I kinda had a feeling that the Ice Truck Killer would turn out to be who it was. From the jump, I got the creeps when they introduced the character. I am finding myself totally oblivious to everything else when this show is on. Definitely one of the best shows out there.

I love this show too, but I had to stop watching it because I missed 3 episodes and I hate missing epsiodes. I hope they do a marathon someday

They better come back with Weeds, they can't leave us with that huge cliffhanger without finishing it. I thought Weeds was a successful show this season. I'm definitley getting all of showtimes dvds

Yeah that's the only thing i've been dissapointed yet so far in the show was that I figured it out that easily as well. If they'd really wanted to surprise us why not have a kind of fat, non-descript middle aged klutz who is sloppy and overly-friendly with people, you know, someone against type unlike the guy they got in the real show for the part.

Re: "Dexter" The Forensic Investigator Serial Killer

I haven't missed an ep yet. It's a great show, one of my favorite new shows this year, Heroes, and Jericho being the others.

I wasn't surprised it was the prosthetics guy Debra's sister was dating.

The truth is though, that if a killer's identity is kept secret for a while and later revealed, you aren't likely to be surprised unless they make a huge logical leap for it to be the guy that it actually turns out to be. You end up suspecting everyone that could possibly be the killer so the "I knew it!" declaration isn't really worth much.

In any case, next ep should be fun.

I was finally able to watch this past Sunday's epsiode late last night. I was suspicious of who the ice truck killer turned out to be when he arrived on the scene. I imagine he knows who his new girlfriend is related to. Be interesting to see how long it takes Dex to figure out who he is.

I couldn't place the guy who plays Dexter's late father. He played Albert Ganz in "48 Hours".

I remember him from guest-starring on an episode of Miami Vice. And, I remember he was Lord Rayden in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.

Not really true, most serial killers go through life uncaught specifically because they don't fit peoples idea of what a serial killer should be. When they introduced that guy and he started talking, he just jumped out at me as being the type of guy who is a serial killer, dark, thin, very neat, very well mannered, intelligent, precise attention to detail and most importantly a creepy factor in his persona that is off the charts.

As I said, if they really thought about it they would have given the audience a real surprise, that also would have made a point that serial killers aren't the obvious guy usually. And I disagree that it would be a huge logical leap for the real ice truck killer to be someone you wouldn't immediately identify as such, the real logic would have been fooling the audience just like real killers fool the public.

Anyone see the episode last night? We got a glimpse of what happened to Dexter when he was about 3 or 4. I figured it was something along the lines of what they showed. Next couple of episodes look great!
