Re: Rome: HBO Series
No - I watched it too.
What a great show ... and having recently acted in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, I particularly enjoyed waiting and knowing how it all would end.
It was originally only a 12-part miniseries. It was so successful that it's being extended.5WG | Facebook | Twitter | fiftytwoplays

Re: Rome: HBO Series
What happened I can't quite remember everything? I like the series but it is very expensive though HBO is sharing the cost which makes it more manegable. I wish they would come out with the second season sooner but it should be out this January unfortunately it seems as if they will call it quits after that.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.Comment

Re: Rome: HBO Series
It'd be tough to get more than one season out of it unless it jumped to a completely different chapter in Roman history. If Season 2's story is what I think it is (I'm guessing it'll start with Caesar's funeral and end with the Battle of Actium in 30 BC), they'll be able to feature most of Season 1's characters (Octavian, Mark Antony, Cleopatra, etc.). It'll be interesting to see how Vorenus and Pullo "Forrest Gump" their way through this era. What happened I can't quite remember everything? On a slightly related note, I'm leaving for Rome tomorrow to start a 7-week European trip. Cool beans.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: Rome: HBO Series
Damn Jones, a 7 week trip, awesome, enjoy your time. I love Rome, it's a good show, great sets and such, plus you can't beat having a naked woman in just about every episode. I love HBO.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Rome: HBO Series
Brilliant show, but like others have said there's only so much they can cover. It says a lot about a show when they can make it as suspensful as they did with everyone knowing the outcome.Comment
