I was 50/50 on the whole concept but what I got bought into was the action and anxiousness you get while watching. No way am I saying this movie is an edge of your seat nailbiter, but I think it serves its purpose. But hey who will agree with me in saying that the love scene out in the square was funny?

I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or turn it off. That would be a decent scene for some random Will Ferrell movie, but come on... this was Crank.

Crank was one of the movies I blindly rented when it was released on Blu Ray... wonderful picture quality.... can't say the same about the story...

I watched this movie with five or six people in my dorm, none of us knew anything about it... It was so funny seeing each person's reaction during movie, as it differed from one person constantly saying "this is the worst movie I've ever seen..." during each far-fetched moment, to just flat out hysterical laughter by other people.

But in the end, we all laughed for a good 10 minutes during the credits after...
            Spoiler

Now that was one messed up sequence of events which truly represented the movie in it's entirety.

What's worse is a sequel is coming out next year. The only way I would accept it is if they almost redid everything. A new director would be a good start. Google Earth scene transitions? Naked women getting shot in glass bubbles? I swear, this was probably one of the most sexist and racist movies I've ever seen, even if it wasn't trying to be.

Jason Statham will reprise the role of hitman Chev Chelios in "Crank 2: High Voltage" for Lionsgate and Lakeshore Entertainment.

In "Crank 2," Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.

                @ that plot.

                I'll still see it, though.
