    Dane Cook - Vicious Circle

    Anyone catch this tonight?

    Wow

    It sucked big time IMO.

    Too much old stuff, and the new stuff sucked. Hearing the old stuff pretty much reinforced the thoughts me and my friends have had about DC.

    His act doesn't have anywhere close to the staying power of some other top comics in the game right now. Not even close.

    I don't know exactly how the whole Andrew Dice Clay craze was seeing as though I was too young to know who he was at the peak of his career, but it seems like he enjoyed a huge rush of success and then hit the bricks.

    That seems like what's going to happen to DC.

      Yeah I really like the guy, but his act really isnt as funny as it used to be. I dont know if its the material or just his act in general. Hes still seem like a cool guy.

              This is the first extended amount of Dane Cook material I have seen and I have to say, if this is what he puts out, he's highly overrated in my opinion. It was funny at times though. His best attribute is definitely his delivery. Reminds me of my eccentric English teacher Mr. Kiley.

              Other than that, a lot of the crap he was rambling on about was just annoying....particularly the crying bits.

                  I haven't seen much of Dane Cook, but I did watch some of Vicious Circle last night. Honestly, I wasn't very impressed. I've heard he was hilarious, but I guess he's just not my type of comic. There were funny parts, but overall I was dissapointed.

                      This was probably the worst live one i've seen. I actually couldn't watch the whole thing because that crying bit got me really annoyed. His other stuff that was on comedy central were way better.

                          I have sat and watched numerous YouTube videos of Dane Cook and didn't laugh once. Smiled once or twice, but this guy can't even carry the microphone stand of guys like Richard Pryor, Dave Chappelle and George Carlin.

                          Dane Cook is Jeff Foxworthy for high school and college kids. Not very creative, not very funny, milking the sh*t out of the same stuff over and over while laughing all the way to the bank.

                                  It was my first time seeing him live. I only caught the last 45 minutes or so. I thought it was funny for the most part. My favorite part was probably the movie theater part, mainly because I can relate. I always turn to the person next to me to give feedback for the previews and I always spend like 30 seconds trying to get my soda into the damn cup holder lol.

                                              He was pretty funny when he first started. He's really energetic, he's an action comic and gets a lot of his laughs from being over baring. What PK said, he appeals to college/high school kids. You can look him up on youtube to get an idea.

                                                      I bought Strategic Grill Locations. A lot of stuff is on his special but it's still hilarious.

                                                      There's also Mitch All Together. I personally haven't heard that one.
