    Help with computer reformat.

    Never done this before.

Is there a website I should go to for a walkthrough or does someone want to give me some advice on it?

    Thanks.

i think you need those dvds or cds that came with your computer orginially or if you have a HP, you can just hit f10 and enter the system recovery.

theres not much else you can do.

what all do you have in regards to windows xp recovery discs, or full version??

        Re: Help with computer reformat.

I reformat my Windows XP machine pretty often and it's easy. In your computer setup (usually F2 or delete when the computer is starting) change the computer to boot to a CD. Put your Windows XP disc in the drive and reboot the computer. A Windows thing will start and you will have instructions on what to do. You will want to delete the partition you have now, then you will create a new one that will be formatted. After that, XP will install on your fresh partition.

Now that's just for XP, it's different on different operating systems. Best thing to do is search google for reformatting your computer for which operating system you have. Make sure you have all your drivers for installing all the stuff you use on your computer, so you have an easier time getting everything going again.
