Computer question
I accidentally unplugged my wireless card on my laptop and now no matter what it just says that it is "unplugged". Does anyone know what I can do to get it to recognize that it is plugged in? I don't have the cd and can not access the internet with it the way it is now. Thanks in advance.Favorite Teams:

Re: Computer question
Have you shut the laptop down and the reconnect the wireless card booted the laptop backup? -
Re: Computer question
Typical help desk suggestions: Try a different slot if available, unintall and reinstall card, do you get a blinking green light when plugged in?
Removing the card while it is active may be enough to kill the card. If you had the cd or the drivers on the laptop, you could right click on the card's entry in the device manager and uninstall. Can you get the drivers from the manufacturer's website and get them on to the laptop with a thumbdrive? You could then reinstall the card like normal. But if the card died, that wouldn't help.
If it worked before you pulled it and now it won't even recognize, my guess would be the card died.Comment
