    Yet more Star Wars Releases

The original three episodes on DVD (no box set): A New Hope

These are the original theatrical releases on DVD. Damnit George, just release the ORIGINAL theatrical trilogy on DVD and be done with it.

AVOID, just an FYI, the orignal's are NON-Anamorphic. Meaning, they are not enhanced for 16:9 TV's.

Re: Yet more Star Wars Releases

The DigitalBits was reporting earlier this week that next year, being the 30th Anniversary of the original theatrical release, that Lucasfilm will be putting out a huge box set, with all six movies (including digital Yoda for Episode I), the original trilogy deleted scenes (which may or may not be put in the film), and other, unnamed changes!

While I hate Lucas putting out multiple releases, I'm one of the suckers who'll be there on release. I'm just glad I got news of the box so I didn't rush out and buy the individual OT DVD's.

EDIT: Link - http://www.thedigitalbits.com/rumormill.html look for the 8/24 news!

Johnny, in that boxset, will the original theatrical versions be released?

and that's why he does it...i mean, they're cool movies, but do I really need 15 different versions on DVD? I really just don't understand why people keep buying this tripe, honestly...

Agreed, I have the 6 movies, don't need them again.

I'll be buying the box set next year. I don't have any of the movies on DVD. I'm smart that way.

Isn't this set coming out tomorrow the Original Theatrical Versions (i.e. Han shoots first)? Plus, I think you can listen to them in Dolby 2.0!!!

So - I don't have the original trilogy at all ....

I should wait one more year?

Yes, especially since you just bought a HDTV. Or just buy the ones already released.

I will be avoiding this release for this reason. This has been on my radar for a long time, but when I heard Lucas was releasing them non-anamorphic, I lost all interest. What a crock.

no - I won't buy those remade fancy newfangled Star Wars Lite DVDs.

Give me the original movie, or nothing.

                        Looks like "nothing".
