They released Room for Squares twice? Damn, didn't know that. Whatever release I have, though, is the best album I've ever listened to. After listening to Continuum throughout, I'd rank them as:

    1. Room for Squares
    2. Heavier Things
    3. Continuum
    4. Inside Wants Out

It's still very good, I just like his old sound more.

Yep. The original -- with the black cover and John's face -- was released by Aware Records in May '01. After the initial release, Columbia -- which owns Aware and has rights to the talent roster -- sent John back into the studio to re-record some parts, along with a new track, "3x5", and turned the tunes over to Jack Joseph Puig who remixed the majority of the tracks on the album. In contrast, the versions of the songs that appear on the Aware release are a lot more similar to those that were on Inside Wants Out and aren't really all "popped up" as the finished product would be.

Wow, just wow. I know I'm late to the party with this album. I just picked it up and its aptly titled, because "Continuum" is a "continuous string of great songs" in the blues fashion. I love Vultures, In Repair, Waiting on the world to change, gravity....you get it. Great album, in a time when a lot of artist are making disposable music John comes along and make an album in the vein of a pedigree '60's album filled with songs challenging your thoughts on love and war. Great job JM.

As much as I raved about the album when it was released, it still somehow keeps getting better everytime I listen to it -- which is still a couple times week. It may seem totally crazy at this point, but Continuum could become my favorite studio album of all-time.

Wow, I like this album... a lot, but I'm not ready to put it near my top 5 or anything. I can see why it could become someones favorite album, though.

I actually think at any given point, I could list all four of John's studio releases in my top five -- at the same time.

Continuum is the only album I have of his. I'll have to try out the other ones.
