    New Frampton Album

Not sure if there are any Frampton fans, but he has a new album coming out tomorrow and its all instrumental. That doesn't have me excited, but I'm more interested in his Black Hole Sun cover and the guest spots from Matt Cameron, Mike McCready, and Warren Haynes.

He played an annual rib and BBQ festival that we have here in St. Louis around Memorial Day weekend and I caught the show. Played pretty much all of his old stuff, then started talking about the new album. He went on to say we might recognize the next song, and sure enough it was Black Hole Sun. All instrumental, but he is using the talk box for the harmony parts, so it basically just replaces what would have been Cornell's vocals. Other than that, the song sounded exactly the same as the original, and I thought it was rather unnecessary and couldn't understand why Peter Frampton would want to record it.
