I'm not sure about their return policies, but Sam's has great deals on TVs as well.

I use BB for CDs, DVDs, games and I bought my MP3 player there. I've never had any problems, if you are browsing they will ask to help you, just say no and they leave you alone. I've gone car stereo shopping at CC and had to hunt somebody down to help me. I only go to CC if they have a better sale on something I want or if BB doesn't have a particular CD, DVD or game in stock.

I've also had my fair of issues with CC. Buying my DS Lite the sunday it came out was a hassle. Then i went to buy 2 music CD's that they had on sale 2 weeks after that. For some odd reason this CC throws out ALL the flyers in the store...ALL OF THEM. Lets just say that i'm done with CC employess all together. Last thing i bought from them was a 20" TV about 3 years ago. Everything I buy nowadays are usually online. Newegg, Cruthfield, SEARS, etc. Return policies and warranties are great online IMO.

I buy my DVD from a videostore in Brooklyn that has most new DVD's 1 week before official release.

I hate almost everything about Circuit City. But, I have to admit they do have some very good sales and when they do I have no problem shopping there.

          A little update.

They still don't want to give me a replacement TV. They said that it's at their disgretion to give me one, and they decided not to.

Tell them fine, you'll see them in court. Did you holler at the customer service? How long have you had the television? Definitely threaten to sue. If they don't bite, then take them for a hell of a lot. This is emotional distress at least. They can pay for the court fees, the television, and the stress of you having problems with them. That would be my first move. Honestly, I do have to say that our law system is good for something. You still have the receipt from the repair guy that looked at it the first time? Make sure you have his information just in case you need to take legal action. Good luck with that.......

Did you purchase their extended warranty? If so...are they offering to, instead, repair it? Are they saying the reason it's malfunctioning is because of misuse or abuse?

If I were you...I'd contact corporate and complain. Get a supervisor or someone on the phone. They are usually the ones who can help in these types of situations.

BTW - I'm not just talking about of my ***, here. I worked for Best Buy while in college, so I know how the whole thing works. You'll get your TV...you just have to be persistant.

I think that's the most accurate statement about those two stores. I've had complete a-holes @ bestbuy try to take me for a ride, so I stick to circuit city.

I've thought about tweeter, but you really do pay a premium for better trained employees whereas the other two make their profits off of volume and their competitive pricing. Before I make a big purchase, I do a ton of research to compensate for the apes on the floor at these places and usually get the extended warranty. So far that strategy hasn't backfired...

                  gotta be the squeaky wheel

go in to the store at the most crowded time you can and ask to speak to the store manager.

if he doesnt help you out, calmly bring your problem to the attention of all the shopperes in the loudest voice you can and ask why he is not going to honor his replacement policy on tvs, then ask for a refund. stay calm and polite, but loud.

dont let them move you to another location ,be persistent and maintain that you want the problem resolved to your(customer) satisfaction. bring the wife and kids too.

                    Re: Against Circuit City

We have a local place here in Tuscaloosa that sells HDTVs and other electronics at pretty much the same price and they have a much better return policy. Circuit City is strictly CDs and DVDs for me.
