I know he's a first class ****, but he was my favorite character on the show. I'd much rather have seen them get rid of T.R. Knight or Ellen Pompeo.

Well Isaiah Washington and MassNole can agree on one thing, they should have fired T.R. Knight.

Thank god he stood up for himself. I'd love to know what really happened, so far it seems that he has his version and Knight has his own version, have any of the other actors stepped up to take a side here?

Heigl has been on Knight's side from the beginning.

She's just a trouble maker though, so I don't really care what she has to say. It would be nice to see Patrick Dempsey step up and clear the air, I think he would know if it was directed at him or Knight.

I think he said it to Patrick about Knight. Doesn't matter though. Two of my favourite characters are now off the show (with Addison gone).

That doesn't mean she's not right... Plus Dempsey has been on Knight's side from the beginning as well.

I certainly haven't seen many people rush out to defend Isaiah but that's also scary for those actors since the public was very much against him.

I'm really not looking forward to next season.

dont follow the show, but just came across this on another board...seems like a major a-hole and can pretty much kiss his career goodbye. maybe him and kramer can get an apartment together, or a reality show!

just to follow up, im a minority but c'mon technically you can play the card anytime things dont work out your way...i honestly can't think of any incidence where ive been treated any different than anyone else (fyi..hispanic (when i was a kid we were called mexican, now its latino or hispanic..anyway) living in Texas.

The creator of Grey's anatomy is a black woman. The cast has a very large racial mix and he was cast as one of the most respected heart surgeons in the country. Playing the race card is terrible. Now he was fired because TR Knight orchestrated the whole thing to get a bigger sex goddess role and the black producer was scared of a black man? He needs to shut up. If he just kept his mouth shut at the awards show he would still have a job. The fact he lied about what he said hurts his credibility in a huge way as well. I wanted him on the show but his mouth is the main reason he's off the show. He's going on Larry King on Monday so I wonder what he'll say then.

I might have to watch that one. It will be interesting to see if he can rebound from all this.

                            Re: Grey's Anatomy, Season 3

For those that didn't watch the Larry King special, I thought it revealed some interesting stuff as well as cleared the air on some fake Enquirer news. Overall I still wanted more info but at least Isaiah came clean about a lot of things and it just made me wish they brought him back.

On the argument between Patrick Dempsey and T.R. Knight that started the whole thing:
It was never with T.R. Knight. It was only between Dempsey and Isaiah (IW from now on). IW said they are friends and patched things up since then but the argument was over Patrick being late to the set. IW says his military background among other things causes him to worry over too many things than just himself and maybe he should just be quiet sometimes. IW said that both Patrick and himself said many heated things and IW told Dempsey to not treat him like a f******. IW cleared up the fact that the argument had nothing to do with TR and that while he regrets using the f word, it was NEVER directed at TR.

                            The Golden Globes
He said he just wished he would have shut his mouth. He said its just a part of him that wants to clear the air and speak out against the lies in the tabloids. He said he never said he didn't use the f word but rather that he never used it towards TR Knight which cleared up what appeared to be a contradiction. After the Globes, ABC gagged him.

                            TR Knight
He said they had a 2.5 hour conversation before any of this stuff over how he was upset with his role on the show and wanted something else. IW did say he felt Knight deserved to be fired and that he mislead the people about the incident in that he never called TR a f-word. He said TR spoke negatively of Dempsey.

                            Racism
Larry left this to the end and IW basically bit his tongue and didn't want to get into it. He wouldn't say there was racism in his firing but he isn't sure either.

                            Why he did the interview
He said there were a lot of false leaks about stuff he was allegedly saying as well as did and he felt he needed to clear the air about what happened and what his stance is now. He maintained that he's not homophobic. He did say that he offered to resign twice from the show after this but they turned him down at the time.

                            Counseling

He said ABC paid for most of it and it was a 6 day retreat somewhere (or something like that). He said it was basically useless and that the counselors (not sure for what) asked him why he was even there. At one point they put an obviously gay man in his quarters (I can't remember this part exactly) to see how he would react but IW said he doesn't have a problem with gays and is not homophobic.

                            Future
He has no plans to sue anybody and that many film and TV opportunities are there for him. He did say that Shonda didn't want to fire him from what I remember.

That's it for my memory from 4 days ago lol. I probably forgot some stuff and maybe screwed some other stuff up but the transcript is here: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...02/lkl.01.html

I should add that he was asked about why other cast members haven't spoken up on his behalf. He simply said that there is a gag order and/or people don't want to bite the hand that feeds them. He did say he got a couple of very nice e-mails, etc. from some cast mates and singled out Sandra Oh as having sent him a very nice e-mail while on vacation in Spain when this whole thing happened.

When Larry King asked why he just didn't shut up and not worry about people being late, etc. Isaiah simply said that its a personal flaw to care too much. He said he should just let some things ago and do his job rather than worry about production, people being late, etc. Its too late now though.
