    Norton Help

My Norton Protection Center icon at the bottom of my computer has the dreaded red X on it. When open it up it tells me that the thing thats wrong with my computer is that it hasn't had its virus protection updated recently, then it prompts me to do so. So I do it, but the x doesnt go away.

It keeps saying that i need to update virus protection, even though it says it was last updated on 9-16(today).

    Any help?

I second that motion. Norton is just a hog on your computer anyways.

Norton, McAfee and all those big named anti-virus companies are nothing but ripoffs. Like the other 2 here, Get AVG.

I have Norton and my computer has been amazing, haven't had a virus ever since I got it. I tried AVG and it is alright but Norton is def better.

Right click the icon in the system tray and make sure Auto-Protect is enabled. I only get red X's when I accidentally disable it.

You're thinking about the Internet Security, the icon I'm talking about is the Protection Center.
