    Re: The Office: Season 3

Good points about downsizing/merging. Maybe that's what they'll do. It does make sense.

That would also create another storyline where the lady that Michael slept with might work in the Scranton office now. The interaction between them is pretty good.

I tried a quick IMDB search on the new girl from "Jim's Office", but didn't come up with anything. She does look familiar though.

I think downsizing is what will happen as well. The new girl that did Jim's facial expression and sits behind him is pretty damn cute.

kelly actually didnt look bad las tnight.

I was thinking. I know I read they are going to have new characters this season. What they will probably do is downsize the branch Jim is at now and the cute girl that sits behind him, the one who did the prank on and the one that calls him "Big Tuna" will all probably go to the Scranton branch and that's how Jim ends up back over there. I don't think they would just introduce the new people for a few episodes and be done with it.

What a great opener. I like that idea that those two offices are going to merge, its bound to happen. I can't wait for how that "big tuna" guy and Dwight interact. That will be some classic moments.

In the original BBC version they did downsize and the two branches merged settling in David Brent's (Ricky Gervais) building. The head manager of the other branch became the top dog while Brent became #2, seriously damaging his ego. I think Michael will became a #2 this year as well.

Off the top of my head her name is Rashida Jones, she's been on Chappelle Show, Boston Public and a bunch of other shows.

No show has EVER done that thing where you feel uncomfortable, but are cracking up at the same time. This show is just brilliant. I didn't jump on board till Season 2 after being initially dissappointed in Season 1 because I had the wrong expectations for it. I love it.

Earl and The Office may be the best hour of sitcoms in the last 5-8 years of TV.

IMDB message board is saying that she and the guy that plays Jim (John Krasinski) are rumored off-screen bf/gf. Good reason why she hit "the face" so well.

I'm thinking that all season long we will see the 2 branches and then the threat of downsizing will come up again. I bet the season finale will end with us thinking that Jim lost his job and the rest of the crew at his branch.

Come Season 4, I see Jim and a few of the members from his branch at Scranton.

Its so true. From Michael last night to the racial sensitivity training show (which Jim was actually part of at the new branch), this show is definately not politically correct which is very refreshing. Much like a junior mint.

You should really watch the British version of "The Office" if you want uncomfortable. Steve Carell is an idiot but he is somewhat likeable. The British boss (Ricky Gervais) was painful to watch, in a good way.

I was worried when they brought this show to the U.S. they would either tone it down or make it too similar. The writers have done a great job at making a hilarious show of their own. The basic plot lines are the same so far, but the shows are very different. I think I actually like the U.S. version better. Anyone who is a fan should definitely check out the BBC version.
                          Good job! Good effort!

I personally wouldn't put "Earl" and the "Office" in the same sentence. IMO "Office" IS brilliant, "Earl" is not. I watched the first 5 episodes of last season because I was staying with my brother after the hurricane, and he wanted me to watch his favorite show. I was bored out of my mind.

I just went to Best Buy today and bought the BBC Box Set of The Office which has Seasons 1, 2, and The Specials. Is the British version good and worth the purchase?

Wouldn't it have been better to ask that question before you spent $70?
