Re: Are There Too Many Good TV Shows Out There??

I know the feeling. I'm now interested in Jericho, Heroes, Kidnapped, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, 24, Prison Break, The Office and My Name is Earl, and House.

Last year it was Arrested Development (RIP ), 24, Prison Break, Scrubs, The Office and My Name is Earl.

      Right now, I watch:

      The Office
Scrubs (which is sadly detiorating before our eyes)
      Monk
      Psych
Desperate Houswives (ashamed to admit that one)

I felt that Scrubs had one of its better seasons last season. I thought it was going really downhill for a while.

I like Monk, Psych and the Dead Zone from USA Network as well, so hopefully those shows return soon.

        Well I just woke up...:y4:

I usually fall asleep sometime between 5 and 6 AM, and wake up anywhere between 2:00 and 4:00 PM (except on Saturdays when I wake up at 10:00 for College Gameday).

I saw the first 5 or 6 episodes of "Scrubs" and it didn't grab me. As I said before I bought "Monk" Season 1 for $30, and grinded out 5 episodes-YAWN!!!! "Desperate Housewives" is probably the most overrated show in TV history.

I must be in the minority but I think a lot of TV today is either far too serious for its own good or just plain boring.

I watched Til Death the other night and I think the Joely Fisher curse is real. That show just isn't funny.

At least I have Shark and i've yet to see Studio 60 so i'll be watching the 2nd episode. Hopefully it catches my interest.

Justice was a bust to me. It was far too superficial and I expected the show to focus on one trial during the season rather then different trials every week.

Comedy has taken a huge hit IMO. I think lighter, family comedy needs to make a comeback but maybe that's just nostalgia talking.

              Well, to each their own.

I would like to see it, but IMO, the wholesome, family comedy type show just doesn't have the appeal for a primetime broadcast (Sunday-Thursday) on a major netowork anymore. The trend has definitely gone away from that type of show that was so popular for so long.
