I was thinking of possibly purchasing a refurbished TV as it will probably will be cheaper than buying a new tv. Anyone know of good sites that might have these cheap TVs? Or even good stores?

Cheap TVs
Ok I'm a poor college student that needs more than a 13 inch tv to watch my Bears and play some Madden... I was wondering what would be the best option in finding a relatively cheap TV thats about or bigger than 20".
I was thinking of possibly purchasing a refurbished TV as it will probably will be cheaper than buying a new tv. Anyone know of good sites that might have these cheap TVs? Or even good stores?Tags: None -

If you are just getting a regular tube TV, buy a brand new one. You can get a 20" TV with built in DVD player for peanuts these days. Walmart has 24" TVs for as little as $150 and 20" TVs for $99. Don't have any recommendations but they should get you through your college years.

If you have the patience to check everyday. The site www.woot.com has a special everyday on one product. I've seen some cheap TVs on that site, some new, some refurbished. You never know what is going to be offered the next day, and it is only one item a day, but good deals do show up.

I second the Wal-Mart route...they have some decent (and cheap) Sanyo's in the 20"+ range, and the return policy is good if you get a lemon (discoloration, geometry issues).
They've also been hyping their flat panel HDTV's, though I'm not sure how expensive they are.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams
