    Haha, anyways, onto the sixth season!

    Season Six, Episode 1: ZOD

    *Contains Spoilers*

    CLARK IS TRAPPED IN THE PHANTOM ZONE WHILE ZOD TAKES OVER LEX'S BODY AND PLOTS TO DESTROY EARTH; JIMMY OLSEN JOINS THE DAILY PLANET -- Thrown into the Phantom Zone, a Kryptonian jail created by Jor-El, Clark (Tom Welling) finds himself without powers and surrounded by revenge-seeking criminals sent away by his father. Meanwhile, having taken over Lex's (Michael Rosenbaum) body, Zod keeps Lana (Kristin Kreuk) captive with a demand to sire him an heir and begins his plans to turn Earth into a Krypton-like planet using the alien ship's hard drive. After Lois (Erica Durance) and Martha's (Annette O'Toole) plane crashes near the Fortress of Solitude, Jor-El tells Martha how to kill Zod. Back at the Daily Planet, Chloe (Allison Mack) reunites with an old flame, Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore).

      I am usually psyched about smallville, but this year not so much. I do not watch the CW so I have seen no previews of the season, and i'm just not pumped for it.

      Don't get me wrong though, i'm still gunna watch the premiere and the rest of the season, i'm just not as excited as I used to be.

          Really? I'm almost the opposite. There are so many opportunites this season to pay homage to the Superman mythos, what with Zod and the supposed Justice League episode during the season. Plus, i've read that Clark learns a new power early on this season, but I won't spoil when and what it is, as I accidentally spoiled it for myself already.

              I'm pretty excited about this next season, not so much for this Zod cliffhanger we got, but more for the introduction of Jimmy Olson and the Green Arrow. I read about that Justice episode later in the year too and it sounds awesome.

              I hope to see tomorrow night's episode tomorrow night, but with the Auburn football game on and Grey's Anatomy, it might be Friday before I see it. Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

                  The best episode ever (IMO) was the one that came before last season's finale. The serie's strenght is it's high regard for the Superman mythos and the family unit, which was seriously damaged with Jonathon's passing. Lionel Luthor's "goodness" was refreshing, and they need to stay that course, but they have waffled with this character's morality time and again. The series has always "saved" itself with great character relationships. I just hope it stops running in place with the Superman angle.
                  **I just found out Tori Spelling is joining the cast-needs the cash I guess.

                      I agree with your Smallville assessments. As for Tori, I don't like this decision but she definately needs the cash. Her mom hates her and gave her nothing after the passing of her father. The cash flow has stopped.

                      I didn't read any spoilers - I don't like finding out things ahead of time but I'm really curious as to how Clark gets out of his prison. The whole kiss with Chloe thing could be fun as well.

                      For all Canadians out there, Smallville is being carried by A-Channel this year and not City Thursday nights. Unfortantely its only available 8:00 and 11:00. I was hoping for some more time shifting options with the Office and Grey's Anatomy also on Thursday. It sucks that my three favourite shows are all on the same night. They are the only shows I consider must see TV for me. (Edit: Its actually easy this Thursday since I've already seen episode 2 of Grey's due to CTV's screwup. Saw premiere on Friday's ABC re-air.)

                              Nothing wrong with continuing the tradition of the title.

                              I can't wait to be done with my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner tonight, so I can come home and watch Smallville and The Office. I hope this episode is good, it's been a very long wait.

                                      I really liked last night's episode. I couldn't believe they wrapped up everything in 45 minutes. I think the Clark-Chloe-Jimmy thing could get interesting. I actually cheered when Zod put the sword through stupid Lana's hand.

                                              WOW! That was a fantastic season opener last night. I almost wish though that they would have continued this whole ZOD saga instead of ending it in 45 minutes. Originally, Dean Cain was to play ZOD and that would have really been so cool compared to Lex being taken over.

                                              I almost feel like now we just had probably the best episode of Smallville in a very long time, and I fear like there won't be anymore episodes like this one the rest of the season. Again, it's still way too early to tell.

                                              I think the whole thing with those creatures that came out of the Phantom Zone should be interesting.

                                                  Awesome season opener, despite as everyone said, having everything piece together in about 45 minutes. The little bit of Zod we got to see this episode was AWESOME, especially the "kneel before Zod" bit. Should be an interesting season!
