        At this point in his life I don't think Downey is handsome enough to portray Tony Stark. Apparently they are going with red and yellow instead of the original grey.

                            It could show up in some early scenes, origin stuff maybe? Besides, not many people would know THAT was Iron Man.

                                I don't know if people are sick of him, but agree wholeheartedly w/your point about him being weatherbeaten - just difficult to see him playing the suave side of Tony Stark. Of course, can see him easily playing the drunkard side up. I thought they needed someone more along the lines of a George Clooney-type. Funny someone mentioned Nicolas Cage; I think if he and Downey swapped roles maybe they'd be more appropriate.

                                        When you think about it the gray color seems to fit the character, but by his second story (Tales of Suspense) he was in solid gold, and later that year (1963) he went to the familiar red and gold powered suit.
