"The Departed"Anyone else up for this movie? On "Ebert and Roeper" Richard Roeper called it the "best movie of the year", guest critic Kevin Smith (Clerks II) gave it a "massive THUMBS UP"and Rolling Stone gives it 3.5 STARS (out of 4). It stars Jack Nicholson as an Irish mob kingpin, Leonardo DiCaprio as a cop pretending to be a hood, and Matt Damon as a dirty cop working for Jack. "Rolling Stone" calls Nicholson's performance "electrifying". And did I mention that Martin Scorsese directs the film?Tags: None

 Re: "The Departed"

The Departed is another movie/story coming from Asian cinema. The original is called "Infernal Affairs," and is very good. It's actually a trilogy, with the second part being a prequel and the third part the finale. You can probably find "Infernal Affairs" at Netflix or maybe Blockbuster.com.

 Re: "The Departed"

I thought the very early buzz on this was that it was going to be terrible. Now that I see that it has 100% on Rottentomatoes so far, I think I may have mixed it up with another supposed surefire winner, All the Kings Men.

Yeah, I'm going to see this.Comment

I definately want to see this one...I just hope it's still in theaters around Thanksgiving (when my wife and I head to the in-laws and can dump our son off ).

 Re: "The Departed"

The Departed is a must see. So far Inside Man is the best movie I've seen in 06, but I feel like it's about to change. I'll glady hand over $11 to see it.

A movie with a big name director and A list actors.

I have yet to read a negative review from somebody that has already seen the film.

Even if this movie is only 80% as good as Casino or Goodfellas, I will label it as a Classic.Comment
