ABC offers top shows online, day after they're aired.

The following shows are being made capable to watch online:
    Grey's Anatomy
    Desperate Housewives
    Lost
    Ugly Betty
    Six Degrees
    The Nine
    The Knights of Prosperity

    The link: http://dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/landing

Most shows seem to posted a day after the episode airs. The last 5 episodes of the show will be online, with the newest episode replacing the oldest. The feature is 100% free, there isn't even a registration.

Just thought I would let everyone know about this incase you miss an episode of one of these shows and don't have a DVR or Tivo.
I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

This is good news, and I'm surprised the other networks haven't followed (ABC did this during May sweeps).

Online? I know NBC offer some via iTunes, but I'm not willing to pay for an episode I missed and will buy later on DVD.

I haven't watched any ABC ones this year, but last year they did the same thing for a few of their shows and they had 3 commercial breaks in the show. The commercial breaks were only like 30 seconds though. It was a Toyota commercial or something like that. I don't know if they are doing the same this year. This year's NBC online shows have real short commercial breaks in between segments as well.

2-4 commercials total during a 30 minute episode... maybe 1 or 2 more during an hour show. i think cbs is the best at offering shows online. only drawback is that you'll need realplayer to utilize it.

If Fox and FX did this I would care.

I think FOX has done this in a limited capacity this fall.

Anyways, being in Canada I can't get these feeds but I would suggest to you all to enjoy it while it lasts in its free form. This is just going to end up being a test to see how viable it is.

In a year or two I bet they'll be instituting some kind of subscription fees.

I would disagree....the shows are already available free on TV. ABC's interest in making this more important is so they can charge more for the advertisments inside the online episodes. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they maybe made a premium version that had no commercial breaks or that you could rewind, fast forward or something.

Also, how sweet would it be if they made football games available on this.

The applications would be great for other sports. MLB has had a premium service for a few years and now the NBA is experimenting with this. I'd love to see the NFL try this and also add classic games as well. It'd be a good way of stopping the grey marketish trading and selling of old broadcast tapes IMO.
