Zone Alarm got good reviews from Cnet.com, I tried the free trial version and it was good for the most part, unfortunatly it requires you to know some things about computers since it seems to constantly ask you if you want to allow things access, and since there is someone else using this computer and they arent the most knowledgable, I went with Norton even though I know its a resource hog.

Zonealarm is a firewall, not antivirus (unless they've also come out with antivirus software).

AVG is good and Avast! is good. They're both free and IMO are just as good as the one's you have to pay for. Norton is a resource hog so I'd stay away from that.
