    iPod to new comp...?

So basically, the iPod I have is full, roughly 880 songs. The computer I was using with it, the one that had all the songs stored on it with iTunes, is now gone and I'm on a new computer. I reinstalled iTunes, but for some reason, I can't find an option to rip the songs from my iPod to the new computer. How do I do this? I can't afford to lose all of these songs, especially since most are rare beyond most music stores and I don't have them backed up on anything.

There's a program called podutil that will do it, it works pretty good from my experience.

Ya... use podutil... u can run the trial version, it's just about every 20 songs or so a thing will come up asking you to buy it... so u just have to sit there with it while it moves the songs. It doesn't take long at all though.

sportsdude, which program did you end up using? I'm going to be in this situation after Christmas once I get my new laptop.

haven't done it yet. been so busy working i've hardly had a chance to do anything, let alone sit by my comp and watch files transfer. but I'm guessing I'm going to use podutil. I refuse to pay for it, so I'll probably have a friend "obtain" version of it for me to use.
