    The Grudge 2

I'm off to see it in a couple of hours. I'm not seeing it because I love the series or anything, but you know... why not?

Anyway, just wondering if anybody else saw it yet, and if it was any better than The Grudge.

    Re: The Grudge 2

Okay, well I got back from seeing it about an hour ago.

    Here's the thing. If you:

    - Have seen The Grudge
    - Have seen the trailer for The Grudge 2
    - Take few elements from The Ring Two (assuming you have seen it)
    - Replaced Sarah Michelle Gellar with Amber Tamblyn

You have seen The Grudge 2.

Everything was predictable, either because the trailer spoiled it, or the music cued it (or someone was left alone). The ending was strange, to say the least. But that annoying croaking noise makes sense, now... I thought it was just some random noise they had decided to come up with. Anyway, people screamed, laughed, probably cried... whatever. It wasn't as scary as The Grudge (that is, if you may have jumped at all during that movie), nor was it as good. That said, if a third one comes out, you know I'll still see it. Why? I really don't know. I just like those horror movies.

At least The Grudge 2 beat The Ring Two by ten landslides. I don't think anything can get worse than The Ring Two.

Cool, I can't wait to check this one out. My wife and I are going to see TCM: Beginning tonight, so I hope that it's good.

most confusing, dumbest movie i've ever seen. I didn't jump, I wasn't scared and the movie had like no point

I haven't seen 2 yet, but juding from part 1, you're better off seeing Ju-On and Ju-On 2 (the movies The Grudge were remade from)

Does anyone know if The Grudge 2 was based off of Ju-On 2?

I saw the first one, and it wasn't scary, just jumpy.

I have no interest in seeing the second.

I have no idea what the story for Grudge 2 is, but I know it's not a remake of Ju-On 2, the director and Raimi confirmed that previously.

My personal opinion: Don't wait for DVD to see The Grudge 2. I think the Grudge movies are at the very worst worth some effective jolts upon a single viewing, and these types of films play great (at least better) with a packed audience.

If the villain and the victims are characterized properly, they can actually be great films. The first film got neither right, this film was a step in the direction for both. Maybe a Grudge 3 can give me the feeling I had when I first saw The Ring in theatres, though to some that's definitely pushing the envelope.

I'm the exact opposite, I hate theaters, when I do go, it's an afternoon showing with less people. I can't handle talking, cell phones, popcorn, sticky floors, and then especially in horror films, idiots screaming or going "LOOK OUT", or even worse, cracking jokes.

I watch most horror at home, late night in pitch black in my family room.
