    Old School 2

This shouldn't be made unless you can get Ferrell, Vaughn, and Wilson back together.

I'm usually not a big fan of sequels but I believe these actors won't let me down.

When Vaughn was promoting The Break Up, he was asked if he would do Old School 2. He said Old School didn't really need a sequel.

Dreamworks will also have to pony up the cash because Vaughn and Ferrell are much biggers stars now than when the first film came out in 2003. Both actors now probably command at least 15 million per film.

I would be ok if they only had two of the three stars, because I'm sure all of them would be down for cameos.

The guy that wrote and directed Old School was on Drew and Mike (WRIF) a couple of weeks ago and he said that he will NOT be doing this movie if the entire original cast (Ferrel, Vaughn, Wilson) won't do it. So no worries there.
And he said that the working title (at the time) was Old School Sauce. I think.

        "
In the wake of Old School's box office performance, Dreamworks would have preferred to mount a sequel in a more timely manner, but the busy schedules of the film's stars prevented any such progress. What's more, Phillips and Armstrong wanted time to come up with a viable story."

        Money making dud.

get that crap out of here

""Will's interested," adds Phillips, who looks forward to escalating the misadventures of Frank the Tank. "But, that being said, right now we don't have any of the actors involved until we've finished writing the script. Not until the script is done will we go to Will and Vince and Luke and see if they'll do it.""

wouldnt you want some input or do they not do the logical thing in hollywood?

I'd love to see a sequel featuring those three.

Same as everybody else, if the 3 stars are in, go for it, if not, don't even bother.

              1) I hate all these sequels! What happened to creativity in Hollywood?

              2) regarding this quote and your question, that's a double edged sword. You don't want the stars having too much input on the script because then it'll become a mess of a flick. It's better to have the writers do their job and the ammendments come afterwards.

true. then if they say no, youre left with a one dimensional script made for just one actor. i can sorta understand that.

i guess behind the scenes they ask what will make it more appealing, in general terms and they work with it...

tell us that though. we're here left assuming all sorts of stuff lol

We can only hope that it is as successful as "Dumb & Dumber'er", "Police Academy [2 through whatever number they made]", and "Caddyshack II"

I would imagine they are taking the same route they took in the first one, the actors just added things during the filming, if you watch the DVD with the actor commentary they have some freedom when it comes to their performances, the writers just give it a direction....i believe
