How do you format a memory card? (ps2)

im getting sick of this sh*t. 2nd time i corrupted a memory card in 2 months. All because of the stupid max drive when i try to move files from the memory card to the max drive. Im getting fu*ck*ing sick of it. Can someone tell me how to format both of my memory cards?

I've done this once myself. I wanna say that the format memory card option is in the main options of the PS2 (normally don't put a cd in there and just go to the memory card).

As far as your problems go.. if it happened to you once within the past 2 months, why do it again?

because when i did it earlier, i moved like 7 files to the max drive, this time i only tried to move ONE because i needed space for a roster file for nba 2k7

Im not seeing this option. When i click on the memory card, I have a screen saying 'no data' since the saves are corrupted, and at the bottom i only have the option to go back.

I dont remember where else to go. This happened to me so long ago that I forgot what I did to reformat the card. Maybe a game had some feature to reformat it. Sorry, I could of sworn it was in those options.

And fyi, moving and deleting files on your memory card will corrupt it when using maxdrive. if you need to move or delete files, do it in main menu (the one i explained above)

You can compress/uncompress a file.. but you can't use the move or delete feature.

You cannot format it from the PS2 browser, you have to use the format option in the maxx drive software. Oh and as has been said, you cannot use the move/delete functions of the maxx drive, only copy, otherwise it will corrupt the card.
