I forget who said it, but it was stated that they wanted to make an example out of him. They should have just given him probation and seized his future earnings until the debt was paid.

That would to much like right for them to do that. This world we live in is a very back azzward place. 1. Throw Snipes in jail for not paying an amount he can pay from his take in his next film, 2. spend more time trying to convict Bonds for perjury than necessary (p.s. anyone hear anything recently about Clemens? I guess if he said he didn't use, you gotta give him the benefit of the doubt, white? I mean right? ), 3. allow cops to shoot an unarmed man and get away with it, 4. cut into my tv viewing time to show me the pope walking and waving at people while he is the same man who has made it an unspoken rule to keep the molestation of little boys by priests a secret, and last, Blaxican you'll love this one cause you from the Bay Area too, 5. CHARGE ME $4.00 A GALLON FOR GAS!!!!!!!!!

      Aint life grand?

For his sake, he'd better keep his mouth and other holes closed in prison.

              Completely uncalled for.

If you don't see the difference in both cases aside from race (both are guilty of using some form of performance enhancers), then I can't help you.

Well he can fight so I doubt he'll have to worry about much. They'll probably have him in a private cell anyway.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I agree with you that they both are guilty. But if they are both guilty, why has Clemens been able to slide by? I cant believe some people actually thought he was convincing with his denial at Congress. Looks a little black and white to me. And what difference is there? Clemens used, Barry used. One guy gave more interviews than the next guy and smiled more?

I think if the roles were reversed it would be different. Barry was caught up with BALCO. BALCO being busted and Barry being their biggest client had much to do with all the media attention (so did the fact that he admitted to using steroids to a grand jury). Also, I don't think the Roger deal is done with. There's still more info to come out.

In the end though, they both used and should be treated equally. I think that's part of the reason both of them are sitting at home right now. Teams don't want to touch them.
