Jay Wright is the greatest coach in the history of sports
He pulled off the seemingly impossible, getting 50 Cent to perform at Villanova's Midnight Madness last night. Incredible.

That's pretty sweet, but it would have been cooler to get the Roots...Comment

Dam that's sweet... I wish we had something decent here at UMD once in a while. At midnight madness we got to see the men's bball team do some dance moves... and then watch Mike Jones flunk a dunk
The dynasty will return
Paul Pierce... talent + heart + toughness = The Truth

I didn't know people still got excited for 50 Cent."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

No pot shots at you PK because I respect your opinion
BUT....
this comment reminds me of the hand wringing politicians in Toronto last fall. Let me give some context. Last summer was known as "the Summer of the Gun" because of the huge increase in firearms violence and people being caught in the crosshairs of gang vs gang violence. Other groups were involved such as drug dealers etc etc. In fact at one prominent Toronto hotel a man was found riddled with bullet holes in an elevator.
Anywho 50 Cent was scheduled for a concert I believe later summer or early fall. The politicians were going ape sh!t over it. In fact, some even floated the idea of denying 50 Cent and his posse from crossing the border. Anywho the concert did go on as planned and lo and behold there was no violence connected to the concert at all.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

As a person that has listened to rap music since the 80's, I won't deny the fact certain kinds of rap music has a violent culture around it which makes it a easy target for certain folks.
Out here, there is a common theme around violent nightclub incidents. Almost all of them take place on hiphop themed nights.Comment

AF I don't deny that the violent culture of certain hip-hop/rap makes for easy targets. In fact I find the whole "gangsta/thug life" aspect of the culture to be repugnant but sometimes people can attack with hatred rather then with reason.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
