Wireless Router
I've decided to look into a wireless router and was wondering if anyone could recommend a cheap yet quality product for someone on a college budget. So far I've seen this G-Link router for around $40 or so.Tags: None -

Re: Wireless Router
and don't bother paying the extra $20 for the "Speedbooster" or whatever...just get the regular one *LINK
and ignore the $20 savings thing...I'm pretty sure it's been impossible to spend more than $50 on this thing in the last 6+ months.
Good luck!Comment

Re: Wireless Router
IMHO, I've had Linksys as my first router, and I didn't think it was that great. Yes its pretty reliable, but after a while, mine died on me. Also there were times when I wasn't able to pick up any signals. However, you can't judge a book by its first page. So just because first Linksys router was a dud, doesnt mean the next product will be too.
I recently have the Netgear router (not sure which one) and so far its worked great. I have absolutely no down-time nor do I have any problems with it whatsoever.
Also, a great place to purchase cheap tech stuff is newegg.com I ALWAYS buy my stuff from them, fast delivery and good customer service.
Also, a great way to find out if a product is good or bad, is to look at the reviews. Newegg has customer reviews for all their products, so you get a firsthand review of whatever you might wanna buy.Comment

Re: Wireless Router
Yup. Got the same one as well. Great router. How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.Comment
