If you're confused or have no idea what I'm talking about, this movie takes place at a high school and deals with a Columbine like massacre perpetrated by two students there.
What makes this film so intriguing is how it's portrayed...there is no explanation behind the shootings and it leaves you in the dark about a lot of the plot details, it makes you draw your own conclusions about things...I've always liked movies like that. Also, a large majority of the cast are actual real teenagers and not actors...they improvise a lot the scenes. Granted the dialogue and acting takes a big hit but it gives the film a much more gritty and realistic feel to it IMO.
The movie is very harrowing to watch, esp. the last 20 mins when the violence starts...it just feels real, I dunno how to explain it....was uneasy to watch. The movie builds up nicely to the end scene and is shot in a weird yet effective manner in which we meet all these people and how they interweave in the school with each other in some sort of way. It was done in a like a non linear, reverse chronological way...again, hard to explain but cool to see.
So for anyone else who's seen this, thoughts?
