CNN.com is reporting that pop star Brittney Spears has filed for divorce from husband Kevin Federline, who just last night on Monday Night Raw issued a challenge for a one on one match against WWE champion John Cena on the 1/1/07 edition of Raw in Miami, Florida.

A number of Hollywood gossip websites had reported Spears left Federline several days ago, taking their children to a local Los Angeles hotel. The reason? Federline allegedly flew into a rage and destroyed property after Spears laughed at a tape of his WWE appearances.

Federline made several recent WWE appearances, starting at a recent Los Angeles Raw taping where he was linked to Johnny Nitro and Melina, which ended with Cena hitting the F-U on Federline. WWE has heavily promoted Federline's CD, which was released on 10/31, in subsequent appearances, building to K-Fed's interference at Cyber Sunday causing Cena's loss to WWE World champion King Booker in the main event. In a pre-taped interview (as he was in Canada promoting his CD), Federline issued the challenge for a January match against Cena.

CNN reported that Spears filed for divorce today, citing, "irreconcilable differences" and asked for legal and physical custody of their two children. The pair married in 2004 after meeting while Federline performed as a backup dancer for Spears on tour. They were featured in a UPN reality series.

The divorce filing was the latest in a string of negative Federline news over the last week, including poor reviews for his debut CD, canceled concerts, and a near empty performance at New York City's Webster Hall which saw Federline come on stage several hours late, only to perform for 30 minutes.

eh, if she gets in shape I wouldn't mind her finally doing that playboy spread to shed that homely mother look.

I think that's definately in the horizon. As well as Kfed blowing any money he gets from Brit on wife-beaters, Marlboros and more gay "Federation" tattoos.
And who else here has the feeling that we'll see KFed doing one or more of the following in the next 6-12 months:
a) Hook up with Anna Nichole Smith
b) knock up Anna Nichole Smith (or some other C listed celebrity)
c) knock up anything else with a vagina
d) 'star' on the Surreal life
e) on Fox's Celebrity boxing getting the crap kicked out of him by Flava-Flav
f) in line at a soup kitchen
g) going back to his roots as a hardcore, gangsta, backup dancer for Hilary Duff's sister.

The one thing I'm certain of is Kfed writing (sorry, dictating to a person that knows how to read and write) a book about Britney and their marriage. Everything from the kitchen to the bedroom. Of course, I'd be surprised if Britney doesn't pay him a big chunk for disclosure. But you can't make them infinite. Just like how David Bowie's wife was paid off to shut her mouth for 12 years after her marriage. Turns out Bowie doesn't like to shower and homo'd out with a crap load of top rock stars in his era.

(CBS/AP) Britney Spears and Kevin Federline made a four-hour sex tape early in their marriage that he is now threatening to sell unless she gives in to his demands in their divorce case, according to a British tabloid, The News of the World.

It says Federline wants more than $30 million from Spears, along with custody of the couple's two young children, Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James, 8 weeks. The newspaper also reports that Federline has been offered $50 million for the tape by one film company that wants to put the video online.

The tabloid says Spears fears release of the tape would short-circuit the comeback she's attempting to stage.
