+44- When Your Heart Stops Beating
After just listening through it for the third time, I am underwhelmed to say the least.. much the same feeling as I had for the Angels and Airwaves project. I can't say I'm too disappointed, I wasn't expecting it to be earthshattering anyways.

Wow, I think Weatherman is the weakest track on the album.
Make You Smile really reminds me of a Postal Service track. Also, 155 and Lillian are really good one after another.
I've gone through the album quite a bit, probably 15 times start to finish. I think it's a really good album and I think it will have some good staying power with me - moreso than AvA.
I am excited to actually get my hands on a real copy tomorrow. I'll probably just wait until next Tuesday to buy it with Brand New (probable album of the year).
Note, there is a possible bias here, Blink 182 is my all-time favourite band. -

I put this album on my iPod last night.
From the light skimming through it that I heard, it sounded pretty good. I look forward to a whole album of Mark instead of Tom.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

It's much better than AvA's album, I'll tell you that.
Been listening to it a lot the past two days and I really like it. Have listened to it straight through about 4 or 5 times, not really a bad track on the album.Comment

Re: +44- When Your Heart Stops Beating
BIG blink fan here. Got AVA when it dropped and was pretty excited about it. The disc has a few gems on it, but overall I feel like i've heard it before. Kind of like a really bad U2 cover band. I really hate what Tom tried to do with his voice and the hypemachine he ran leading up to the release of the disc. Aside from the music, tom really does seem to be the reason blink broke up, though i'm sure all had their part in some way. That may sway my feelings toward AVA's release also, but I hope not.
I do think when your heart stops beating sounds better than anything on AVA's release, but I'm sure i'll appreciate both releases. Just not the same without the gang together on the same disc. I felt the same about Box Car Racer. Tom was my favorite blink singer, but its not as good without both of them on the track.Comment

Re: +44- When Your Heart Stops Beating
Mark and Travis have pretty much pinned the break-up on Tom from the couple interviews I've heard them give.
I think they said he told them he was going to take a break, they got a call the next day or a week later and Blink or Tom's manager told Mark and Travis he quit the band and they haven't spoken since. They complained about how controlling he was towards the end etc.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. Re: +44- When Your Heart Stops Beating
Let's see.
When your heart stops beating
Baby, Come on
Lycanthrope
No it Isn't
Those are probably my favorite four so far...but really the entire CD is good. Some good lyrics if you listen closely, catchy tunes, good vocals...just a good CD in my opinion.Comment
