The Class can't be cancelled? Why couldn't it?

I'm curious as I enjoy The Class a lot, but it's not getting good ratings. They've already tried a different time slot trying to get the carry over from "How I Met Your Mother", but it hasn't worked so far.

Fannnnttastic. My favorite new show of the fall season is getting canned -- well, at least it'll get decent closure.

I must say that Justice was my favorite new show. I'm very upset that it has been cancelled. I'm gonna miss the law firm of TNT-G.

I didn't catch Justice but Conviction was a really, really good law firm show (created by Dick Wolf) that didn't last past season one.

Ugh I shouldn't be surprised. NBC gives FNL and 60 another chance and FOX doesn't, maybe they should have house on 5 days a week?

I know NBC is putting a lot on Studio 60 and they seem to be giving them as long to get the ratings turned around as possible.

If House and 24 didnt win golden globes they would have been cancelled. TV is cutthroat.

Um....There are quite a few critically acclaimed shows that win those kind of awards and still get canned so that wasn't the determining factor. IIRC 24 wasn't THAT bad in the ratings its first year.

As for House...It was in the top 25 it's first year (24th) and 10th in it's 2nd season. So it was a ratings smash from the start.

Yeah each show was a major hit very early. Now if he had said "If Cheers or The Wonder Years they would have been canceled." He would be correct.

Fox usually keeps anything with any acclaim around. The other networks are quicker on the trigger.

Studio 60s demographic is a more upscale one that advertisers will settle for lower ratings for.

True, the writing will have to keep up though.

they got a little uptick in the ratings last night. I have the show on my DVR, so I'll watch it tonight.

Um, Arrested Development won plenty of awards and still got the boot. So, that point really isn't valid.

After House and 24 got rave reviews and awards, the viewership grew. AD on the other hand never had any viewership.

I loved AD. Best sitcom I've ever seen, I have all 3 dvd's. My friends love AD too. But most of my friends didn't watch AD until it was on DVD.
