    Day Break

Figure I start this for discussion.

Not sure how many people watched the debut episodes Pilot and "What If They Run".

I thought the show was actually pretty solid. It's supposed to be 13 weeks long, but I could only find 12 episodes listed on wiki.

    Pilot
    What If They Run
What If He Lets Her Go
What If He Can Change the Day
    What If They're Stuck
    What If They Find Him
    What If He's Not Alone
    What If She's Lying
    What If They're Connected
    What If He's Free
    What If He Walks Away
    What If She's the Key

The short run gives me more incentive to watch the show. I know that it'll end in 12/13 episodes and the drama won't be dragged out. Despite the premise behind the story being very interesting, I can't see how it could last 22 episodes long before it would get ridiculous.

I read a review of the show on the Daily News and the writer didn't enjoy it. He said it made no sense to repeat a day over again and also said that there is no intensity behind it because if Diggs' character dies the show ends. I thought the latter was pretty stupid to say because every show is like that. If Michael Scoffield dies then Prison Break is over, but you don't see people complaining about that.

Interestingly enough, he also mentioned how silly it was that there were no cameras in the police elevator. I forgot about it until I saw the show and immediately though, "Damn, an officer can't do that. They'll catch him on the cameras!" Of course, now I remember that they won't.

I was really drawn to the show tonight... so am I correct in assuming this is only supposed to be a one year series?

      Re: Day Break

I keep hearing it being called a mini-series.

So, this entire plot is supposed to be solved in the 12/13 episodes that are scheduled to air. Almost like a really long movie.

I think that's solid. No need to spend too much time on the show. We'll get answer must faster than we do with Lost . And I thought it was good enough to pass the time while I wait.

you mean a serious dramatic version of Groundhogs day?

I've kind of wanted to check the show out; but I just don't know.

          That's what it's been called.

I've never watched Groundhogs Day, but I heard it's a good movie.

You should check out the two episodes you missed on ABC.com

This show can be interesting to discuss like Lost.

Trying to figure out who is involved, what is going on, why it's happening to him. What does he have to do to get through the day.

Assuming "What If She's the Key" is the last episode (and it should be since it airs January 31st and Lost comes back February 7th) I'm thinking I might have an idea on how he solves this case.

I meant to watch the show but well...I fell asleep before it came on and I can't watch it on ABC.com. Oh well maybe they'll do a special re-air sometime before the next episode.

                Another solid episode tonight.

I have to say that if you're not watching this show and you like serial-drama you should be watching it.

Yeah it's a good show. I missed about 30 minute of it tonight, but what I saw and of course last weeks debut kept me interested. Gonna have to go to Abc.com and catch what I missed.
                  PS: You guys are great.

One of the key differences is how if he sustains an injury, its there the "next" day. Guess Taye won't be pulling a Bill Murray and hitting rock bottom..
