    OJ book/Special cancelled

It's not everyday where I stand up and applaud FOX but i'm glad they realized that this was beyond tasteless.

I agree they should have pulled the TV spot, but IMO the book should still be published.

I actually liked the idea of the book, and would've found a way to read it.

The TV show, though, I had no interest in.

The book, the TV show, and O.J. in general are all complete and utter wastes.

I commend FOX for fnally getting a clue and dropping this garbage but they're still stupid for wanting to air it in the first place.

I guarantee both the book and TV special will make their way onto the net before the end of the year.

I would commend Fox too although I'm sure it was other reasons why they pulled it. Fox would show orphans being mauled by Tigers if it brought in money. I wonder what high powered exec pulled the plug? And why?

According to the blurb it was the Head Cheese himself Rupert Murdoch who killed it.

Yow! Well good for him. I hope it was for honourable reasons.

Don't applaud FOX, Murdoch, or the book publisher. They were the ones who thought this would be gold for money and ratings in the first place. This had nothing to do with morality. They're simply bowing to public pressure and a potential PR nightmare. Companies were threatening to pull their ads during this show.

DITTO, especially the "stupid in the first place stuff" and OJ being a total waste.

And, most importantly, a lot of affiliates had already said they wouldn't be airing the special in any form. Not exactly the best timing for FOX considering that it is airing during sweeps.
