Brand New's New Cd

Just bought it today and I like it!Not quite sure if I like it more than "Deja Entendu",but the group definately has developed their own style and sound.After first listen I give the disc a 7.5 out of 10.The music could use a little more depth.

Holy crap...Didn't know it was out. I gotta check it out I loved "Deja Entendu" but wasn't a big fan of "my Farvorite Weapon" their first one.

CD seems more generic then usual. Obviously not as epic as deja, but better than most music these days...I'd give it a B- or a B.

Picked it up yesterday. So far listened to it one time through and Jesus is my favorite track followed by You Wont Know. This will probably change though. Loved Brand New's sound since Favorite Weapon, and I can hear influences of both of their previous albums in this offering. Good stuff.

I like the new cd alot,more so than Deja Entendu.I keep reading reviews calling the cd generic and or prententious,but I just dont see that.The group has matured greatly since My Favorite Weapon(talk about generic).Too many people like that pile of crap called a cd and its the most unoriginal cd Ive heard.While Vin has never really impressed me with his guitar work,it fits the bands style.I feel these last two discs to be quite similar,but the guitar is toned down on the new cd.My favorite tracks are Millstone,The Modest Mouse influenced Jesus Christ,Degauser,and She Wont Know.The rest are still solid tracks though,making this a pleasant listen all the way through.I didnt quite feel the same about Deja,though overall it was still very impressive.

I think it's a pretty solid cd, not quite as good as the last one though.

I really like the cd, but I found after You Wont Know the cd kinda starts to suck. Deguasser is my favourite track by far. I saw Brand New play this summer, and they played some of their leaked demos from the CD but nothing that appeared on the cd. I was surprised only two of the demos made it...since they were good in their own right.

Yeah, I hear the leaked demos were as good, if not better than some of the tracks on the released disc. It would be nice if they released the leaked tracks on an EP in the near future.
