Best Place To Buy An Ipod?

So, my little sister wants a 30GB video Ipod for Christmas. Anyone know where I can find a real good deal on one? Amazon seems to be the cheapest at 239.99.

    Any help would be great.

Apple is very strict about their pricing. You usually cant find any variation between different pricing. although if you look here http://reviews.cnet.com/Apple_iPod_3...12.html?tag=bc it seems that you can get one for 229.99 but watch out for shipping. Good luck!

EDIT: those two sites ship for free and use 20 dollar rebates so id go with them.

I just found a pretty good deal, I guess. Thanks for that link, NewEgg has them for 232.99 w/ free 3 day shipping. I just wonder what in the heck she needs with one of these. It seems like to me, that you could go with one of the other brands and get the same thing for a much cheaper price.

What else does she need to use this thing? Do you need to buy a docking station or anything like that?

A good pair of headphones... I hate the earplugs that come with the iPod's. And, I would say the biggest need/accessory would be a cover/case of some kind. I have a Batman cover (xtrememac.com) that is badass, but yeah.. definitely one is needed.

I got my video iPod from Best Buy as a graduation gift.. I went with them because the price is about the same elsewhere but more importantly their 3-yr. warranty that I added to it just in case anything happened to my iPod.

As someone said, I don't think there is too much price variation on IPods. I got my g/f an IPod as a graduation gift. I bought it directly from Apple for the main reason that they do free engraving. Not sure if that matters to you...

Good call. NewEgg.com is the finest store I have ever dealt with -- online or brick and mortar -- in terms of price and service. Exceptional.

                Take care,

You can never go wrong with Costco. If it ever has a problem, you have an instant warranty. The prices are very competitive as well.

There are no cotscos around here. I don't even think there is one in the state of KY.

How about Sam's Club? I think they have the same policies. I could be wrong though.

no Sam's Club either. I'm not buying the thing anyway, I am just trying to find a good deal for my Stepmother to buy one for her. I'm buying her PS2 games.
