Re: Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread
Finally saw 300 in HD. Best visuals for a HD DVD that I've seen to date. I watched about 1/3 of the movie over again with the PIP blue screen info. Pretty impressive.Comment

Re: Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread
WOW! 250,000 copies of 300 sold on HD/BD in a week. So much for HD/BD having a small market share compared to DVD. That's astonishing.

First Independent U.S. Blu-Ray Manufacturer Opens Plant in Spokane, WA
Blue Ray Technologies opens $12 million plant in Spokane, making it the first independent U.S. Blu-ray manufacturer. Plant is important to TV producers and indie filmmakers who can't wait in line for high definition discs at plants controlled by major studios busy filling their own pipelines. Distribution offered too by Edge of Light Media, a co-venture with John Daly ("Terminator," "Platoon"). GE supplies materials for eco-friendly operation.D E S E R V E_V I C T O R YR.I.P. Re: Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread
Have you guys been to your local blockbuster? They have been selling some HD Dvd's since they are not going to be carrying them anymore. I got Happy Feet for $15 bucks as well as the Break Up.
I can't believe TMNT is $35 bucks in HD-DVD! I'll rent that, but i'm going to have to buy 300 soon.Comment

Re: Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread
Yeah I just recently figured Amazon is the way to go. I think i'm going to strictly buy my dvds from there.
Has anyone purchased a refurbished blu ray player? I want to get blu ray really bad without paying crazy amounts for it. I really don't want to get a ps3, so any blu ray player around 300 dollars is what I'm looking for. I'll probably have luck just finding a ps3 for around that much so I guess it would look into buying one.Comment

Re: Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread
PS3s are still cheap on eBay, craigslist, etc. Just watch out for scammers, of course.
Yeah, finally overtaking VHS (I honestly thought this happened in January) is pretty funny, and should be proof positive how dry the news wires have been this week.D E S E R V E_V I C T O R YR.I.P. Sean Taylor (1983-2007), a True CaneComment

Anyone know if Rounders is coming on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray anytime soon?
I've gotta get the anamorphic widescreen edition soon (my older non-anamorphic copy blows on a widescreen tv), figured I'd see if anyone knew of a HD version.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
