    Router Problem

Just got a new router, and hooked it up. Played online on Vegas and everything went fine, but when Sully, and others, sent invites it wouldn't join. What's the problem? I had to end up connecting straight from the modem. Anyone know how to fix this?

Do you have firewall enabled? Maybe its not letting the invite program through?

I have the NetGear Super G. I'm using it wired. Is there anyway to check if I have a firewall enabled?

i have the same problem.. what i find i have to do is plug the xbox connection into the modem directly to get into the game (happens with r6 & sc).. this is even having the NAT open & the ports open on the computer that the 360 needs.. (luckily where my modem & my 360 is just a short distance)

you have to go into your routers settings, ip 192.168.?.? can't tell you where it is, but go to netgear's website and search the help file.

I guess what I have to do is call Port Forwarding. Just a question, what should I choose as type? TCP/UDP , TCP, or just UDP?

That's if i'm doing it correctly.

I joined other friend's request. But for some reason, can't connect with Sully when he is hosting.

Bates, mgoblue, and skyboxer couldn't get into my game last night either. I think I'm done with trying to host. Of course, it could also be one of the numerous online issues with R6.

funny thing was that last night was the first time in AGES that I was able to connect to a game via my router... bad thing is that it looks like once again I have to replace my 360 cause it makes a grinding noise when i shut it down..

Mine has been doing that a lot too. I'm glad I got the BB warranty. My router has been acting up recently as well. Every once in a while, I'll lose my internet connection and have to reset the router. I've only had it for a year, so I don't know what's up.
