DVD Recorders

Any recommendations for DVD recorders that can also upscale DVDs? Any advice would be great. The one that I'm looking at is this Samsung: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...10072751&catid .

I have a LG DVD Recorder/upscaler, works great.

Off hand, I don't remember, but I don't have a HDD. It has a VHS player on it as well. I have been copying a lot of older tapes to DVD using this. And it upconverts. It was like $279 when I got it.

The Samsung is great, but remember it only upscales using HDMI, so if you're tv doesn't have HDMI, you're out of luck.

I just picked up my TV and it has one HDMI and two component slots. I haven't even got HD yet as the satellite guys are coming Thursday or Friday. Can't wait for football in HD. That Sammy seems like a good deal to me if I want to spend the money. Thanks for the advice.
